Long-haul travellers missed Macau in Golden Week

More Chinese visitors going to long-haul destinations may have been one of the reasons for visitation being down during the Golden Week holiday, said MGM China CEO Grant Bowie, Macau Business reports. 

Despite this, Bowie said that more “normalized business operations” in which there is “constant demand” is healthier for the company overall.

Bowie, who was speaking to reporters at the 9th edition of Oktoberfest Macau at MGM 2017, also reaffirmed the opening date of MGM Cotai to be January 29, 2018, with delays attributed due to the typhoon which struck in August.
